Just bought my 2 swing aways last summer, according to Ford the part # for gen5 (2019) is different than the gen6 2025.

Has anyone tried to swap there old swing away to a gen6? I'm wondering if they mounting bracket holes may be off, if that's the only difference I'm thinking a good drill bit would take care of that.

I bought an Amazon swingaway first for this Ranger. As I recall, it was an issue of mounting. I think with some bracketry for the front side, it could work. I was just too lazy to do that, and elected to just throw a bin in the bed.

I tried to swap my swing out case from my gen 5 to my gen 6. Both mounting brackets were significantly different. I was going to try the same thing as you, but the depth on the larger bracket where it makes a 90° bend was too different and could not be fixed with just a new hole. I'm not sure if the gen6 raptor and non-raptor boxes are different though

When I measured mine up it looked it was just the bolt holes by the tailgate that were different. That was a Gen 5 Lariat to a Gen 6 FX4 Lariat. I will know for sure in the next few weeks as the weather improves and I can get to installing.

I'm not sure how much (if any) difference there is with a RR bed vs Lariat. Crying shame a guy can't just buy the appropriate bracket and swap the box out.
