Hi all,
I am hoping to get input on experiences with different brands of toppers (or camper shell if you are in a different part of the country and use that term), and if you have your Ranger Raptor, what the dimensions are for the bed. I know it says 61" and 44.8" online in some places, kind of curious if I can put my 2009 Colorado's ARE topper on the Ranger Raptor. Thanks for any input or help. Yes, color match is preferred (Azure Grey), but don't konw how long it will be till topper companies (ARE, LEER, Sideguy, etc.) are making topper for RR.
I ordered an ARE topper Classic CX, sliders, carpeted ceiling and rope light for my 2009 Colorado and have really liked it for the truck. It's tall enough inside that I can sit up right in it (5'11"), without bending my neck or head. I sleep in the back during the fall elk hunting or quick scouting trips. I also leave the dog in the back when I'm out riding my mountain bike or camping or at dinner, so yes (I know some might say why would you get a topper with a pickup). But it's nice to lock up your hunting/camping/biking gear or sheds. The dog usually rides in backseat, so the RR will be getting a lot of use (rear seat cover recommendations appreciated too).
One more question, for those of you that have received your Ranger Raptor, what was the break-in protocol, i.e. not suppose to use cruise control for the first 100, or 1000 miles so as to avoid constand driving at a specific RPM. Anyone read up on that. I am picking up mine from a state about 1000 miles from where I live, hence fly in and drive it back.
Also... my build date was 2/6... have seen on the pizza tracker it's built as of 3/30, delivery estimate of 4/15-4/19, order date was 6/1/23. Excited but apprehensive given the January and February builds aren't shipping as quickly and could all be being held back for Quality Control issues. Crazy posts from folks with non-trim seats installed, clearly they must have automated.
