I’m moving from NC to AZ. I’m contemplating towing my pickup with a U-Haul truck, and concerned about damage (rock chips, etc.) on an open trailer. Thoughts?

I personally would not risk it, most of their car haulers are fairly open, so stones could bounce through the rails, I would be happier with their brand new one, if you could even locate one.

I asked my U-Haul guy about them just a few days ago, he said they have not seen one in WA yet. This is road construction season, so expect lots of gravel and fresh chip seal!
