It's a brick on wheels. Anything above 65mph you're gonna notice a pretty big hit. 75-85mph on Arizona freeways is killing my mileage. (15.5 average) lol

I normally Drive 85 - 90 when in Utah, since they actually had a GOOD speed limit. I drive 80 - 85 everywhere else. With my 35 x 12.5 I get around 15 on the freeway as well. Normal off freeway mileage is around 13.5.

However, towing my small motorcycle trailer, it drops to like 11.

It's very possible, here is why:
(1) you're on flat ground
(2) you're going 55mph. Wind affects are V^2, so the slower you go the more MPH you get because you're pushing less against wind.

Back in the days there was this thing called "hypermileage" where people would push the limits of MPG by taking corners fast (not slowing down), or coasting as much as possible, slow acceleration, etc. etc.

I think for most cars the optimal speed for mph is 55mph, and in a higher gear to keep RPMs low. But I could be a bit off here.

Take the wins when you can.
I noticed recently on a 500 mile trip, when I kept it under 70mph my mpg would start to go up. I’m averaging 17.5, but on that trip I was at 18.4. I’ve only ran Top Tier 93 since I purchased the RR. Wish I could get to 24mpg, I have a 1hr commute each way 5 days a week.

Recently made a trip back to the Midwest from Florida to visit family. On the trip up, I averaged 20.1 mpg (calculated by the RR computer) and was quite impressed. My previous truck was a 2010 Gen 1 F-150 Raptor with the 6.2l v-8, which on it's best day made 15.5 MPG. On the way back home, I drove across southern Iowa on Highway 34. This is a 55 mph, two-lane highway that passes through several small towns with plenty of hills.

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect my Ranger Raptor to reach an average MPG over 25 on this stretch of road! The RR computer calculated a mileage of 25.8 MPG, but when I topped off the tank and calculated the average myself, it came out to 25.6. Still quite impressive! I have the ProCal tune, an ARE Revo topper installed (which improved my mileage by about 1.5 MPG) and about 3,500 miles on the odometer, but still did not think I would ever see mileage this high.

Has anyone else seen this kind of mileage?

My RR with the ProCal is averaging 16mpg for my 16 mile commute, in sport mode with Baja exhaust! This is in 2H. 4A I’m getting 15.9mpg👏🏽. I’m coming from a Scatpack that had 12mpg, so I thought I was winning😂💀
