Always interesting to see journalists buying the vehicles you're passionate about! I've been following the Ranger Raptor very closely since it was announced.
Sadly, I had a customer ordered Bronco on the way and figured I'd wait a while before making the switch. Dealer sold my price protected Bronco out from under me with a big markup to an out of state customer, Ford got involved but they'd already stopped making manuals at that point, and now I find myself with no Ranger Raptor reservation and no Bronco.
I'm keeping the faith that I will join the club soon. In the meantime, I was truly surprised to see that one of my favorite reviewers, TheTopher, picked up a Ranger Raptor this weekend!
DrivingSportsTV also snagged one, though he alluded to this order in past videos and has owned a Maverick and a Ranger Tremor previously so we all saw it coming.
The RR is definitely shaping up to be similar to the Civic Type R in the enthusiast/journalist community. Right-sized, right-priced, and hopefully reasonably possible to obtain at said price. I for one can't wait to dig into my automotive hobby/journalism roots with this truck. Looking forward to connecting with other owners and possibly both of these reviewers here on the forums in the future!
