I passed on the GM twins due to only having 3.42 axle gears. Still doesn't make sense why GM puts 35in tires on the Bison with 3.42 gears.
I passed on the GM twins for several reasons, but mostly the engine. I have the 24 Ranger 2.7, and the 6-cylinder makes a significant difference to me, it's just so smooth. Also the GM twins (or at least the Canyon) has this system where it cuts out 2 of the cylinders if the system figures you don't need them. It did it pretty regularly during my test-drive, on-off, on-off etc. I don't like that from a longevity point of view, and I didn't like the thought of driving around on just 2 cylinders. Not everything is about fuel savings...

I'm with a previous post that only thing that would make the Ranger Raptor any more likeable would be to stuff a Coyote V8 into the thing. And really, the only big change would be getting that V8 engine/exhaust note. Ever since I traded away the GT350, I've been missing that sound (and by "missing that sound," I mean being a whiny baby about it).
That V8 exhaust note is the main thing I miss most about the Full size trucks I had in the past.

I am 100% with you.
I would love to see the 5.0L V8 get put into a RR.

The rest of the RR I do like better than the Full size 1/2-ton trucks I had in the past.

If you like the V8 sound and like the Ranger Raptor, you just get both vehicles.
LOL!!
