I passed on the GM twins for several reasons, but mostly the engine. I have the 24 Ranger 2.7, and the 6-cylinder makes a significant difference to me, it's just so smooth. Also the GM twins (or at least the Canyon) has this system where it cuts out 2 of the cylinders if the system figures you don't need them. It did it pretty regularly during my test-drive, on-off, on-off etc. I don't like that from a longevity point of view, and I didn't like the thought of driving around on just 2 cylinders. Not everything is about fuel savings...I passed on the GM twins due to only having 3.42 axle gears. Still doesn't make sense why GM puts 35in tires on the Bison with 3.42 gears.
