When I set my cruise controll the lane keeper also always starts. Is there a way to only have that start when you ask for it?

I'm not sure an XLT without adaptive cruise has that option. I tried to look through the menus on mine to turn it off and didn't see it. I'll look again to be sure though. If OP has adaptive cruise, he should be able to get it sorted though.

note lane centering in the adaptive cruise menu is different than lane keeping system further down the menu

Thank you! I didn't know I wanted to know this, but glad I know it now! The lane keeper isn't my favorite except on long highway runs..
