Don’t have to wiggle the wheel. Just occasionally applying slight pressure on the wheel to left or right will do it. Not enough to steer it off center, but firm enough to let it know you’re there.

Yeah, I know. The problem is that is a pain in the ass. I have to wiggle the wheel constantly and sometimes I am on a road that is perfectly straight for 10's of miles. Sure is a pain in the ass.
Turn it off

I just leave my elbow propped on the door and my hand on the wheel with a little weight on it and let it fight the weight of my hand.

This.

No jiggling is required. Simply hold the wheel in the 4 o'clock or 8 o'clock position and let the weight of your forearm and hand rest on the wheel. This provides just enough torque on the wheel to keep Lane Centering happy.

I was frustrated also until I learned this technique from an f-150 forum. Works great and no more aggravation.

Yes, I have the same issue or problem with mine. I know it’s just how Ford programmed it, nothing is actually broken. Does not change the fact I hate how this system works, to the point I always turn it off, and use the cruise without it.

Which I personally would like Ford to adjust the programming in a future software update, because I would like to use the system, I am sure it’s safer to keep it on, just hate the constant hands on wheel warning, when my hands are on he wheel. System as is, just makes me crazy so I am just shutting it off for now.

I have a 2021 Ford XLT and it moves the wheel ever so slightly while going straight. Only notice it every month or so.

Ford implemented torque input as the sensor for the computer to register your hands are on the wheel. It's not very sensitive so you have to give it a bit more umph when prompted. It's annoying but that's how Ford chose to do it.
So in Forscan, I've found a torque setting. I wonder if this relates to the actual torque of the vehicle or, torque adjustment of the steering sensor??

For entertainment, I can even make my RR give me a warning about needing to take a rest from driving. Granted, I was on a road trip, so maybe long driving without stopping contributed to their warning algorithm.

Do you remember which module that was on? Seems like I recall seeing "torque" somewhere but I wasn't really paying much attention as my battery was about to die. I need to go back in and play some more.

Well, it’s not a self driving system. It is merely intended to help you stay between the lines.
