Wondering if anyone else ran into this. I think something similar happened on older Sync 4A Ford models (2021 F150s?) but haven’t seen it reported on the RR yet.

i took delivery last week. Wireless CarPlay worked fine once and never again.

iPhone connects fine via bluetooth, can make calls, contacts sync, siri, rtc. I press the CarPlay button then get the message that I need to enable Wireless App Projection. I hit Enable, wait, and… it tells me WAP is disabled and thats it. I can manually toggle the slider in settings, but it never moves to the on side. The slider isn’t disabled, just won’t turn on, of course, because the feature didn’t start.

Any tips? Assuming I need to force an APIM update via FDRS or something like that?

Did you try removing your phone and then re pairing it?

There is always the next option, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and try again.

Good news everyone! Wireless CarPlay is working again after a Fact

First, I “forgot” the RR from my iPhone’s Bluetooth. Then, put the RR in Accessory Mode and selected Settings>General>Reset>Factory Reset. Once complete, went to Settings>Phone List>Add device and then followed that procedure between the RR and the phone. I did allow contact sync on the phone. Towards the end of the process, the RR asks if you want to Enable CarPlay so I said yes, then it just worked.

FYI, I did need to reactivate the RR in the FordPass app.

Hope that helps in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
