3 kids fit just fine! I have three boys, 1/4/6 and going from the F150 to the Ranger works out just fine for the occasional drive or trail. I use the same setup in my G80M3. It is the Diono 3R, about 16.75 inches wide.

Not planning for 3, but good to know 2 would be a viable option.

Two NO issues here...I just have rubber pads beneath the seats to protect the "leather", a protector on the rear seat itself to prevent scoring from the car seat, and then a cover on the back of the front seats to prevent damage from their repeated kicks...crazy? Maybe...but I'll appreciate the extra effort on resale haha. ENJOY, my kids love riding in the truck..my daughter makes a dinosaur ROAR sound every time she sees it...love it haha!

Haven't had any issues yet...after all this drama over lack of rear vents, I'm gonna run an experiment later and put a thermometer back there...see what the differential actually is...I get lack of "air movement" alone can make that feel worse, but a cabin this small, I'm surprised so many people have found this to be such a big issue...would have assumed given small space, lack of rear vents not a huge impact...but I may be wrong!

Mine haven't complained yet but we don't see humidity and typically top out around the mid 80s in WA.

But will it accommodate 3 teens/preteens

Joking aside, one of the reasons we chose the Ranger, was that it would accommodate both car seats well, and when the time comes, we can fit a teenager back there.

I was surprised with how quickly the infant car seat left indents in the seat. After less than a week there was a solid impression. Luckily, it's worked itself back out. But I highly recommend these seat covers. They are quite stiff. So not only does it prevent indentation from the car seats and booster seats, and, when they are rear facing, they can kick the ever-living dog s**t out of it with no worries.

Agreed on seat indents - I put the weather tech down since it’s rubber and creates grip so the car seat doesn’t slip around, that’s the biggest issue when putting covers beneath it. As you can see in my pics, I have a seat cover behind and in front as well to protect from sear back indents and kicks…cheap and effective!

And honestly this was another concern of mine with the new TRD Pro - those seats may be different but to me a little gimmicky and have to eat into the rear seating room, in addition to giving kids something to mess up and eventually destroy. No thank you!
