I asked about that, and they said that doesn't happen with this type. I'm not sure why; we didn't get into details.

Maybe air bag sensors, proximity sensors, hard to say they add stuff to body parts all the time and you can see sensors mounted in the bumpers if I remember correctly.

You're correct. There most outboard proximity sensor on the driver side is working, but I'm not sure if the mounting ring around it can be replaced separately, or if it is part of the sensor. The plastic ring is a bit banged up. All the other sensors are good to go.
