Hi,
I just got my new Ranger in January 2024. The wireless charging pad worked fine to charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max, even with a cover on it. In July it stopped charging. Neither the iPhone 14 nor the 13Pro is getting charged. Unfortunately I could not confirm on an other device than Apple. Anybody else having this issue? Maybe because of an software update of iOS?

Software doesnt change wireless charging, it is a literally all about contact and placement of the copper coils to the pad. If you arent wireless charging anymore, you should take it to the dealer.

That’s not entirely true. IOS 17.2 (13&14) 17.4 (12) added the ability for non MagSafe wireless charging via Qi2 pads

Youve been able to wireless charge since the Iphone 8 or greater with any Qi-certified charger. Magsafe has been around since the iphone 12. The update you are talking about only controls the throughput of power. Before that update iphone 13+ could not charge at the max Qi2 charge speed and were limited to 7.5W max.

Mine works but I’m about to disable it or place something to prevent it from charging because it overheats my phone. Today on a long trip as I was getting close to my destination, CarPlay shut off and I had to fumble with the built in nav to find where I was going instead of CarPlay . I looked at my phone and it had the overheat signal. I use other wireless chargers and they work fine. Perhaps combo of using Waze CarPlay and wireless charging for several hours is the issue but I suspect there is no smart chip on the charger. I have a new iPhone 15
