I just purchased my 2024 Lariat and I'm in love - need some bed cover suggestions!

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking at pre buying this one (ordering my new Ranger next week) and it’s half the price of many and specs look solid. Anything more you could share would be great: leaks, locking etc? Nice truck btw. Cheers

The cover itself doesn't leak it's all the little holes that Ford puts in the bed. The only thing I would like and it's because I had a previous cover like this one is for the clamps to be spring loaded like I had on a Solid Fold 2.0 cover from about 15 years ago. The tailgate locks so that is the locking mechanism but like anything if someone really wants in it, they will get in. Thanks I slowly getting it the way I want it. Ordered Husky liner mats and mudflaps this week. Mudflaps half the price of what Ford wants(Ford $240, Husky liner $135).

I have the BAK Revolver X4S but it didn’t install properly. Only one bolt on each side (near the cab) will line up with the slots on the rail platform where the cover mounts to the rail. They are sending me a replacement.

I like the soft top tri-fold from FoMoCo. Easy to remove the whole thing when you need it out the way. The snow slides right off of it with your snow brush. Seals great. Lasts a long time. The one on the F-150 in the picture is 6 years old and still looks great!

The replacement they sent installed properly. All I had to do was start a warranty claim, send them some pictures, and they agreed to provide a replacement free of charge. I don’t like having problems with such an expensive purchase, but BAK handled it very well and resolved my issue quickly.

The replacement rails are exactly he same as the original rails so they will have the same fit issues. The communication with BAK was good but they “closed” the file when they told me the rails were going to be shipped. They indicated that I would get an e mail when the shipment actually happened and they told me “latest” shipping date. The date came and went with no e mail. I tried following up on line and got no response after several attempts. I called the number and they told me the items had been shipped and they did arrive. I will not contact them again on this issue. I will do some of my own manufacturing to ensure the cover is firmly held to the rails. It looks really good and seems to work well and I hope to get at least 5 years of service life from it.

That stinks. The problem is with the cover, not the rails. My original rails worked with the replacement cover. The bolt head slots are in the wrong location on the original cover.

I had a 2010 Edge and really wanted to get back into a truck. I waited a year for my Ford Ranger and I love her so much! I love the feel of it when I'm driving. I love the interactive screen.

Only one thing I do not love is that there is no grab bar on the driver's side. I've resorted to grabbing the steering wheel.

Do y'all have any experience so far with bed covers? The manual retractable tonneau probably ain't for me.

Not sure why a manual retractable tonneau doesn’t work for you. But I had one from Roll-n-Lock on my 2029 Ranger Larist, and got a new one for my 2024 Ranger Raptor. Great cover with solid locking protection. Vinyl cover over aluminum slats provide a solid top that looks great and lasts a long time!

I did a lot of research a few months ago and looked at many of the retractable covers. The Retrax and Leer products might meet your needs best. Consider what else you might want to do with your truck, like do you want to install a ladder rack some times for work or play. Do you want or need T tracks. I opted for the BAK product with T tracks and while it looks great, there are some real functionality challenges and if I were to do it again I would probably skip the T tracks, keep the footprint of the cover as small as possible and keep the bed rails as clean as possible for other potential applications.
