I was under the impression that there were not pre-drilled and threaded holes in the roof of the US 6G Rangers?
After looking at the files from Ford on the US Ranger, it looks to be a very similar if not the same cab (other than the interior for obvious reasons) we are still looking into this but the files show there are precut holes in the cab/roof.

I've seen other threads where there were pre-drilled holes under the gutter trim on the Ranger Raptors, but I don't know about the standard Rangers like mine.
This is what we are seeing too. We have our Ranger Raptor at our shop. We have not stripped it down yet but will follow up once we do a tear down for you guys.

IF you have to make mods to the truck roof, please consider including full size templates in the packaging, and whatever fasteners are most appropriate in the packaging as well. And obviously, a full video showing installation from start to finish.
I live in Tooele, so please feel free to contact me if you need more information about the non-Raptor Ranger.

Can do! So far the only modifications required to the roof we need to make is removing the center strip of the black trim on the roof to uncover the rain gutter. We will have an install video that covers this in detail. We will keep everyone updated as we work though R&D on this!

After you finish the rack a short version to fit under the GFC camper or other would be rad! Must be an easy design after finishing the full sized one.

I'm very excited for this. Also, maybe consider making rails for add-on, like the Australian Rangers have.

Please explain what you mean for rails for add- on? Our roof rack will have slots in the side panels to add on more crossmember extrusions if that is what you were asking about. Pictures will help! We also will be looking for a non Raptor ranger here soon to confirm fitment

I don't know why Ford US didn't include roof rails like they have on most versions in Australia. And I get that's probably not where you guys are thinking, but it might be something you can do on the lower end to capture that market.
Having said that, I'm interested in your roof rack as you've shown it here.
I live in Tooele, and I have a 2024 Ranger XLT that you could probably borrow for a couple days and we could work something out.

Ah yes those roof rails, unfortunately the chinese made market will probably beat us in the cost game and we will lose there. Also as of now from our R&D dropping the headliner is required, we are looking for ways around this. With that being said, we believe most potential customers would not want to put roof rails like that considering the labor that will be required to go into installing it just for roof rails.

Just as an update, we are looking at finding a way to keep the headliner up and minimize removal of factory interior parts. We will keep everyone updated.

Nearly every product I've ever seen for the Ranger roof involved dropping at least part of the headliner and then replacing it, which has always struck me as a pain in the ass. The new 2024 Ranger XLT uses a formed solid piece for the headliner instead of a cloth over foam (or at least it feels that way) so maybe it's easier.

It can be easier but making sure that damages to the headliner and ensuring the interior goes back just like it was from factory or put back better is our goal. It is most important to us to ensure an easy install that is not so daunting for most that offers maximum carrying capability which so far in CAD testing, our rack coming will be the highest rated rack on the market for the new model Ranger.

Development Status Update!
Perfect timing for Christmas for us! We got this rack on today December 23rd! It took only a couple of hours and a few pairs of hands to get in and take a look at what we are dealing with. From what we have seen, the North American model VS. the Australian/ outside North America are different in a few aspects for the interior and some exterior things. We are very happy with how this first prototype looks, this will help those visual people see what we have been working on!

As for things we can confirm as of now for those interested in this Roof Rack:
1. Head liner does not need to be dropped for this install
2. This rack is entirely bolt on to factory reinforced locations on the roof
3. 2 person install should take about 2-3 hours
4. This rack will be incredibly strong

As for those looking at these images, the rack is subject to change with slight edits based on what we have learned from our prototype and initial install. We were able to complete the install in about 4 hours with no instructions, no measurements to go off of, and no guidance meaning once we get the numbers we need to help assist you in your install, the install will be a lot easier and more streamlined. We are very happy with the results, from here we will be load testing it and wind noise testing it.

We should have preorders open soon. We are hoping late January or Early February.

That's great! Will there be provision (like a tubular rail behind the fairing, for example) for mounting lights or a light bar?
