Hello. Ranger sat outside today for a few hours. 17 to 20 below temps. Started it up on lunch break and the dash screen had "standby" under the speedometer.
Curious what this meant. Truck started and ran fine. Steering was very stiff.

Could it be your Truck had entered Deep Sleep Mode?
Did Remote Start work or did the App alert you?

Yep, cold day here. Didn't use remote start (should have). Just started it up with the key. Nothing came through on the app. There was just a small graphic of a Ranger, and the word standby above it. (On the digital dash screen)

With such temperatures, modern screens usually have a self test and warm time before they can display everything correctly, and that’s usually presented to the user with a standby message.
i would bet this is a normal thing, but better to get official confirmation from Ford I guess.
