2019 Ranger - Transmission Issues

Got my ranger brand new in march 2019. Currently just about 6 years old and only 47,000 Miles. so 1 year past my powertrain coverage

In the past month I have been having shifting into gear issues. My truck got stuck in the middle of a highway as I was trying to cross because it would not shift from 2nd to 3rd gear. Been having all kinds of issues shifting in low gears now.

Took it to a local mechanic, said it was bad transmission and quoted $8,500.

Taking it to Ford tomorrow to get their price/diagnosis.

Anyone have any recent experience on this?

Check the 5g page. Lots people with transmission experience. Including me with my old 2019. Fix if you are still under warranty.

If cost is a factor. Look for a rebuilt with upgraded cdf and valve body.
