Anyone install Leer HF650M hard tonneau cover? If so thoughts???

Thoughts? I don't like tonneau covers.

I find that tonneau covers would impede almost everything I want to do with my truck, so I don't currently own one. Maybe when I get older I'll need one - but by then I'll probably have an SUV instead.

I have this exact cover and love it. Sits totally flat and is very secure. Good quality 4 panel is nice. When you flip it all the way up it only takes up about 4-5” towards the cab. I normally don’t like covers . Its nice to have the extra space to keep stuff secure. Very happy with it.

Yes. I haven’t had too long just a couple weeks but I like a cover designed that doesn’t need drain tubes. The locking mechanism is great too and easy to operate. Looks good and had a few friends say they like it. Time will tell with rain as it’s still winter here lol.

i can confirm. I ordered the one for 599.99 and it is an exact match of part number

here is the part number from the box. I wasnt sure exactly what i was going to get when i ordered it either.

This means that the Ford Accessories "Leer" cover and the Leer direct "Ford" cover are one in the same. I would expect that.

I'm curious if the Leer direct "Ford" cover is the same as the Leer HF650M. If so, the only difference is the badging? From looking at everything I can find it looks like they are the same. Again, if so, why is the Leer direct "Ford" cover not already sold out. That's a helluva deal!

Yes, well almost... I bought/installed the Leer tri-fold instead hard cover. The quad-fold just seemed excessive. I did several hours of internet research before going with Leer, I liked the fact that they are sure enough about their build quality, that they don't have a need for the drainage tubes you see on so many others. If you make a Tonneau cover that needs drainage tubes, seems water leakage is eminent and what issues will that cause over time. Plus I really like the release mechanisms they use, instead of just a pull cord like so many others, theirs has 2-finger release at 2 of the folds (3 would have been nicer, at that price). Install was pretty straight forward, worst issue is the abysmal install sheet (of which I have made them aware), but everything else is top quality and I'm very picky!

Black mat finish correct? One of the reasons I like it. No shiny black paint.

that is awesome. It was definitely my approach too. Such a good deal.

Oddly, i was just in the self checkout at the local grocer and some random voice behind me said ‘hey your truck is in transit’. It was randomly my sales rep lol, evidently it just went in transit on their side today so hopefully i will be able to test it out soon enough. ford tracker still says in production though so we will see.

Guys ordered mine. I did confirm with Leer directly this is indeed the same HF650M bed cover. Only difference is Ford logo not Leer and half off. Was told they had about 40 in stock. Well 39 now. So I would jump on it ASAP. At the price these won't last.
