Lolol ok I figured. The K03s are black on one side white on the other. Mine are installed white in black out.
What? Did you mean to say that the stock Goodyears were horrible? Or did you actually mean to say that all 255’s are horrible? Lots of folks agree with the former and the latter is laughably absurd.…The 255s were horrible.
I have to agree with that. The stock tires seem to small. I love the stock rims so the only optional tire is the 265/70 and the KO3 tires square off and just that little height and width make a difference. Plus a much deeper thread depth. More rubber. They just looked to small on the truck. And the trailer looking tred was just ugly. And to me the truck runs better with the K03s.
Once upon a time, there was a Ford Ranger ORV Package with 33" in Raptor wheels... we probably won't see it again...I think width should be OK. I think at lock stock I had a tiny bit of wiggle room still, so I think width is OK. Height wise is where I dont know, since a true 33 scrubs without new offset/spacers with the Dobs level (1.5"). It seems to me with spacers though a 33 would fit now.
I am not entirely sure but he mentioned running KO3 and you test fit KO2After chasing down all the tire size threads, I decided to do the following:
Does anyone have thoughts on this and a minimum clearance? I'm coming from solid-axle-land, and this is just too tight for my liking.
- Replace my OEM 18" wheels and tires 255/65R18 on my 2025 XLT FX4 with OEM 17" wheels.
- Get the largest tire that will fit without a lift or cutting, according to several sources, which recommend a 255/75R17.
- Because my existing tire is so damn close to the suspension, less than a finger width, I took the 17" wheel for a test fit with BFGs KO2. There was about 1/8" clear. Nope. Had them unmount the tire and got my money back, sans install cost.
New plan? Follow @Williamg4x4 and get 265R70/17. It clearly fits from his photos, but it's listed as a wider tire at 10.7 vs 10.2 for the 255/65R17. If it's already too wide with a narrower tire, what am I missing?

255/75R17 Test fit
My oem lariat rims had a +55 offset and I switched to rims with a +35 offset an mounted 255/75r17 on them. The extra 20mm might be what you need, so either different rims or a spacer would get you there. After chasing down all the tire size threads, I decided to do the following:
