Help! ProCal4 ECU type not found (brand new)

Hi folks, just got my new RR last week. Attempted to install a brand new FP procal 4 and once I tried to save the factory tune to the pc it coded the vin incorrectly. This screen on the pc is about as far as I can go. On the device it also has these messages.(attached) Anyone have a similar issue when installing? Have verified that it’s the correct kit also. I’m currently waiting for FPs response but and not the most patient person lol. Thanks and absolutely loving my new RR in marsh gray!

Did you successfully save the factory from the vehicle first? It's weird that it would've saved the VIN like that.

Everything prompted to the next step as if it did. The device showed the correct vin but the procal4 app on pc shows it with random spaces and characters. FPs tech line just asked for the voucher # so I’ve sent that over but still waiting.

Then if I try to do anything on the pc app it says to login, then says ecu type not found.

Damn, yeah looks like this is beyond our scope. All on FP now I think.

I have heard of bad data cables causing issues while programming. Person reporting it did not say problem it caused as it happened at the dealership. The dealership ordered a new cable. In your case it looks like the tuner may have to be reset by Ford and possibly get a new cable or they could send you a new tuner.

From what I’ve read and heard from FP plus from Blue Oval who’s right next door to me, it is. But it also looks like they share similar product #s (M - 9603- REB30) Mine is 6 days old from when I got it. The first thing I thought about was “what if later built 25s have different ecu programing” but from what the tech line at FP is saying, that shouldn’t be the case. I spoke with them again today and they are saying “it’s been sent to the engineers” and will “bump” them for sooner updates and an official word to what’s happening. I even asked if it’s worth buying a whole new tool and kit, but they didn’t answer that, but Blue Ovals team recommended me to not, since it could potentially flash the same warning.

That was my first thought was a junky cable. I asked the tech line and Blue Ovals Industries, if buying a new device would be the best route to go. But Blue Ovals team recommended not to waste the money and just let FP work it out. I’m just not very patient… at all

!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!

FD was able to clear my Procal4 software and the procal4 was successfully installed this evening!
Really felt like this truck is awake now! Excited for the system to finish its learning over the next hundred miles and see how it pulls then! But FD tech line was on top of it from when the issue started Tuesday night until today. LFG!!!!!!

I had a 2020 Scatpack and traded it for the RR. Prior to the tune I was content with my choice(power, features, faulting ability) But now.. I’m completely fine with my decision and love this truck even more. The RR would take my old scat off the line without a doubt. (IMO) It really freakin pulls. Already a super fun truck and now its alive!
