Personally, of those two trucks, I'd choose the 2024. You give up the newer engine, but you get a bigger discount and it's set up the way you want it. I think it's the better deal, by a good margin.

It's interesting how all of us go through the decision making process. I look at it as the only thing I'm really giving up between the two is the Advanced Towing Package. I could do a spray in bedliner at any time and the OP states advance towing/tech package isn't that that huge of a deal. To me the new engine is a big deal - no need for an oil catch can and other stuff. Plus the 2026's will hit soon so you'd be buying a 2 year old model, something to consider if your interested in resale.

Personally, I think the 2025 is a much better deal based off the 301A being your only must have option(it was for me, too). I think your decision really rests on whether you want the advanced towing and technology package or not. Bedliner is easy to install aftermarket, will be better quality and weather mats with a hitch are obviously very easy to add.

Even ignoring the 2.3 improvements for 2025, I like knowing my vehicle hasn't been sitting around for a year, sitting around in the snow outside during winter... Resale value will be slightly better, there's mental satisfaction of having the 'newer' vehicle. I'm generally of the opinion that when buying a leftover, the deal has to be stupid good versus something fresh from the factory.
