Hey guys, I finally got a chance to jump in and actually drive and talk at the same time about what I like comparing it to the truck that I came from and this thing just blows me away

Wait until you do a Pro Cal...it really ups the raw performance if you can live with paying for 91 or high fuel (which is recommended on a stock Raptor anyway, but that can run 87 stock). It's not just the gains in HP and torque, the bigger benefit is the improvement in throttle mapping and shift strategy.

I’m on the fence about the tune, I really don’t wanna void my extended warranty that I paid for. Maybe I’m better just waiting till my warranty runs out and then getting the tune because I have nothing else to lose at that point, what do you think? I’ve heard goose tuning Does an awesome job as well.

My opinion is that anything aftermarket is high risk. The more power you push, the higher the risk, but even at moderate power levels, aftermarket tuning can cause serious issues long term. The Ford Performance cal is done by some of the same powertrain engineers that worked on the original truck.

They do things like wind tunnel testing with hot dry air to ensure there isn't any knock, they test over altitude, humidity, production variations vehicle to vehicle, slip energies and times on transmission torque locks for reliability etc. There's a considerable amount of testing done at OE development facilities compared to a "shop tune", there is just absolutely no comparrison in terms of long term reliability.

Then after all that FP runs their cal on a production truck for 100k miles as a confirmation. Up to you, but the legal language states that the OE warranty remains in-tact unless the issue is specifically found to have been caused by the Pro Cal. There is a supplemental 36k / 3yr warranty that covers anything even IF it was found to be caused by the Pro Cal.

I have yet to see a single instance of warranty denial on a Ford Performance cal'd vehicle. There are thousands out there (Mustang Ecoboost, Mustang GT's, F-150 Raptors, Bronco Raptors, Focus ST's, Explorer ST's, Ranger Raptors just to name a few of the FP vehicles, plus cals now for the common vehicles like the Ranger 2.3L's and 2.L's).

But I do understand your concern and if your satisfied with it as is, no worries!
