It does exactly what its advertised to. Got any specific questions? Ive had mine for while now though it is inside a gfc camper so slightly nuanced use case.

I guess my main concerns are actual storage space usability and if it rattles?

one or two of hte guys on www.therangerstation.com have the decked system in their rangers too, for camping and off road trips

Definitely no rattling that can be heard from the truck. Not something ive ever noticed although i guess it comes down to how you load it. Their boxes are pretty great and stack in there in all sorts of orientations. The long storage along the sides of the drawer is great for slender longer items that dont need weather protection. The only pieces i dont get as much use out of as i would have liked is the “ammo can” storage accessible from the top. Those compartments are really neat i just dont use them for much because i either have stuff underneath that interferes where those buckets are (outside of the main drawer) or have things that sit on top of the hatches.
