Anyone test drive or have any experience as to rather an Fx4 or standard 4x4 which suspension rides better / smoother?

I am looking at buying 2 Ranger 2.7L 4x4s and was curious if the standard suspension or the FX4 would ride better. These are really just going to be trucks for my sales guys so they will more than likely never get used off-road not more than say a dirt road or an occasional construction jobsite.

So, comfort would be the better or preferred choice.

I test drove a bunch of models before I bought mine. Tires also make a huge difference. I would suggest test driving until you find your comfort zone. I bought the Lariat because of the ride.

They are all Lariats that I am looking at, only some have the standard 4x4 suspension and some have the Fx4 pkg on them.

None of these trucks are local to me, so test driving them isn't likely to happen.

I thought the Fx4 had a rougher ride and the tires were noisy.

I test drove all of them basically. Even the raptor (which i hated). To me , the FX4 package had a much smoother ride than a standard 4x4. I did chose the lariat , not that it has anything to do with ride.

Well, I finally got deals made on the pair of 2.7 Lariats for the business.
Hopefully get them picked up later next week if all goes to plan.

I am curious how they ride in comparison to my personal Raptors.
Leaf vs coils fox vs whatever shocks the FX4s get.

The two that I ended up getting the best deals on both ended up having the FX4 pkg.
The one I started on didn't have the Fx4 but did have the bumper / bed step option.
After a bunch of games and wacky stuff with how they mislead their advertised price on it we could not get a deal made and I moved on and bought the pair of FX4s below.

This one of them, they both should look just alike.

I personally preferred the ride of the FX4 over the standard model. I ordered and purchased the FX4 version.

Anyone else find it odd the 360 suround view camera system does not show up on the window stickers.

I first thought none of these truck had a 360 camera system, but went and looked up the content of the Lariats on the ford website. Seems they all have it and it really strikes me as odd they state the rear view camera on the window stickers but fail to show the 360 camera system at all.

Odd that your shifter isnt the electronic shifter like i have in my 2024 lariat. I thought this was standard with the lariat package. Apparently i was wrong. I do want the blacked out rims your getting on your lariats !!! The only thing i do not like on my 2024 is the rims. Would assume the bolt pattern is identical. If anyone could post a part number to those rims i would be highly appreciative !

I think I saw where the shifters only varied by which engine is selected.
V6s including the Raptor all have the same short throw electronic shifter, the 4cly trucks have a taller different shifter not sure on the particulars of it.

I have the 2.3L , so it is not the engine size. Maybe the equipment package has something to with it ?? I got the highest package , think 301A but cant remember and cant find my window sticker at the moment.

Really !!! Did not know that. Well im glad i got mine when i did. I love the auto park feature along with the shifter. Wonder why they removed that feature ?
