It’s not worth it. The water leaks in through the bed cap corners / under the bed cap. Its not an easy seal since the caps are raised.

@donkey I would love any additional pics or vids you have of the GFC content. I'm considering the same camper but really curious on how much space is between the top of cab and camper overhang.

This may help. I have the taller bed caps with the spacers. If you have the slimmer bed caps, I’d estimate maybe 1/2” lower.

It’s quiet on the freeway. If it’s windy you can hear it more. Hasn’t impacted mpg much, maybe 1-1.5. I get 18 consistently with the tune.

I would pick this over the max for the shorter overhang.

I’ve had a ton of campers (look up socalexpeditions on youtube). I bought the gfc cause it was super short. any long camper overhang is annoying loud…i’ll make a video in the next month to explain why haha. But any camper nowadays is nice!

Did you ever make this video? I am interested in the GFC topper, but I am concerned about excessive wind noise. I have been looking for someone with experience with one on a ranger.

Nice setup, I have the GFC Topper, one thing I really hate with a tent that extends over the roof is cleaning out the vast accumulation of rock hard dried bug guts after a long road trip. I had an Autohome RTT (on a LC200 with a fairing) and about the same amount of roof clearance. I sold it with great difficulty and vowed to not repeat that again. Unfortunately, with a pickup you can’t add a fairing. They don’t talk about this “feature” at the GFC webpages.

Like a driving video or Youtube? You would not be able to hear it in either.

All campers will make noise. This is the quietest setup I have had and the only time I really notice it is in cross winds or head on doing 75mph +.

If you are in SoCal come check mine out and we can go for a drive.

Not a problem. The longer the over hang, the louder the camper. I wouldn’t suggest the Max for that reason.

Added a vid for u guys asking about wind noise. All I hear are my piece of garbage Ko3s that I can’t wait to get rid of!

Also camper is not posted for sale anywhere, just if someone really wants it. And it’s not “on sale” lol. You can buy one new for $9,600-11,000 depending where you live and wait 3-6 months.
