Theres a guy on Facebook Ranger page that did two flush mounts there. I'll see if I can find a photo. I mounted two lights on the inner area there (either side of the sensor), on a non Raptor Ranger.
Does anyone have the trailer plug wiring diagram for a 24 Ranger (non Raptor)? Trying to figure out the wires for R and L turn signal so I can tap them.
In addition to power you could add an on board compressor air chuck. if you want some storage, look into marine glove boxes to see if theres something that would fit into those dimensions. There are all different sizes, but this is the type of thing I'm referring to...
Not a direct answer, but the Tackform mount track is super nice and u can use a magsafe charger (although wired) that charges much faster than the pad.
For those who have the S&B CAI on a Ranger, can you change the filter without a lot of disassembly? I have an option to buy one with the oiled filter (which I don't really want), but they will send me the dry filter free as soon as it becomes available. There is some sort of production delay...
Putting weight aside, rolling deforms the tire going into and coming out of the contact patch, which requires power input. That power input isn't returned. The harder it is to deform the tire the more power it takes to roll. A more supple tire takes less power to deform than a more rigid tire...
I think you can fit a single behind the backseat and I think there are brackets for that location. Under the hood makes wiring really easy though. Just make sure you can still get to the fuse box.
These were just released for the Ranger.

I have a set of the universal RokBlokz that I modified for my Ranger, before the Ranger-fit version was available. I can confirm that they are built burly and protect well.
BOV noises are from the vent releasing unused boost pressure into the atmosphere. The stock valve recirculates the air, so theres nothing to really hear. Aftermarket BOV (Turbosmart) will make noises with or without your aftermarket CAI (maybe more noise with the aftermarket CAI, I duuno)...
Do you have a venting BOV installed too? BOV release venting sound is different than intake sound. If you have a stock recirculating BOV, an intake isn't going to make it vent.
Those bolts suck. There is a TON of red loctite on them and even once you start getting them to move, they are stubborn until the very end. Three of the four came out with a struggle, but the bolts were not stripped and were reusable. The fourth gave me drama. The bolt bent, and the torx...
I agree the oem ones are too low. If you like those you can often find them as takeoffs for free.
i replaced them with the Gorhino rb20 which sit a few inches higher and stick out farther. I might have gone with the rb20 slim if I did it again. They were easy to install other than removing...
