Haven’t gotten mine in any off-road adventures yet, but I did drive a RR off-road.

You guys with no side steps or mudflaps, how can you accept the huge amount of gritty slop that literally covers your paint up past the window sills? It has to be a major PITA to deal with, for example opening your door handles scratches the clear coat and messes up your hands. Rocks chip the paint into the primer or beyond to bare metal…. Wider tires make a bad situation even worse! I have XL flaps and running boards with front hole covers, and I get a tiny amount of mud (or sandy snow) up onto my nice paint. My hands and shoes stay clean and so does my interior and steering wheel. And my wife doesn’t get mad at me….

I was just wondering if you think a muddy paint job is no problem, and do you actually think it looks cool? Because it definitely does not… IMHO it makes you look clueless.

This issue can be helped by using hole covers:

People own these trucks for themselves and not other people. There are plenty of "mods" people do to their trucks on this forum that I think are tacky and silly looking. I keep my mouth shut because its not my truck.

I think one could argue that its silly to worry so much about the amount of mud that hits your performance offroad truck. However, that's your thing. Not here to judge.

Hey man, that particular day, I didn’t give a heck about what my truck looked like, I was happy that I got to slide around get a little dirty. I did cringe a bit as I heard the branches scraping the sides! But I applaud you for your meticulous care of your vehicle, it’s a good looking truck! I just happen to think it looks good both ways, covered in mud, or fresh out of the shower…

I searched around and didn't see a thread for people to show off their trucks.

Post up pictures of your Raptors!

I plan on doing this with my 2025 Raptor as soon as I sell my 2022 SCAB...

I believe that was my Pixel 7 Pro actually. I usually keep a Fuji X100V on me.
Nice! I've got the standard Pixel 7. What lens do you use for cars with your Fuji?
I've got a Sigma 18-35mm for my Canon R50... Wicked combo in my opinion...😅

Different strokes for different folks. I'm keeping the mudflaps and side steps on like @ John for similar reasons, longer term I don't want the rockers to rust out as I live in a 4-season state that heavily salts in winter. Those rock chips on the paint will really destroy a rocker in no time.

BUT, I also don't mind getting it filthy as I already have, just like the added protection for the body. Maybe I'm asking too much, but I thrash my truck AND expect it to last....? Also pro-cal tuned by dealer, recently wore in TriboTEX DLC coatings in the entire powertrain etc.

Slowly building it up for my use case like anyone else.
