I'm surprised it has better approach/departure against the ZR2 Bison, I wonder if the ZR2 has the winch?
Either way pretty cool that it looks like its one of the most capable trucks on the market from this regard.
Also surprising that it has better water fording than the F150 Raptor.
Assuming one is paying sticker, an F-150 of a similar trim to a midsize is like $10-20k more and F-150's still drive like boats. The commentary about price parity was only really a thing pre-pandemic when you could pretty easily get 25-30% off the sticker on a full size truck, but midsize trucks...
Yeah I got a call today from a dealer I talked to at launch (wanted ADM), sounds like they're shopping their allocation around now. Sounded like they still wanted ADM, but we'll see if they call me back.
You think dealerships care about false advertising? They just put a disclaimer at the bottom of every listing that says "the vehicle is subject to availability and the price is probably bullshit."
There's a couple of dealers near me that have had Ranger Raptors listed on their website since June.
My plan is to see how the KO3 performs, but given that 90% of this trucks life will be spent commuting, frequently on wet pavement, I'm thinking I'll buy a second set of wheels and mount a decent all season. I'll bet it improves fuel economy by 5-10% and could reduce wet braking distances by...
I’ve seen pictures floating around of USB port on the rearview mirror base for plugging in a dashcam. Does anyone know if this is available in the US market or just a RoW thing?
Ranger Lariat at the Houston Auto show didnt have it.
I guess that’s where all the good cars were this weekend. The Houston Auto show didn’t have a single Ford Performance product. I was really hoping to see the RRaptor and something in Shelter green.
Not sure why Houston gets shafted on auto shows when we’re probably the 2nd biggest car market in...
I got my VIN and build date (2/26) from Ford chat a few weeks ago. Finally got the official email from Ford today with the same build date. I'm sure they're scheduling them in their system, but waiting to inform customers incase things move around.
I've been looking hard at the '24 Toyota Land Cruiser, except it seems like pretty poor value for money relative to the RRaptor, given that a base Land Cruiser will be about the same price.
I really wish Ford would sell the Everest here instead of the Explorer.
I think Ford has already priced all the "inflation" BS they can muster into this truck, and they already had a chance to price adjust it post strike, with minimal movement. If this truck came out in 2019, it would have been sub $50k. Given the stacks of trucks already piling up on dealer lots...
That's not what Long McArthur Ford said in their video last week. They said those are the production numbers for the month of March, not Job 1.
If Ford was only planning to build 4200 trucks for half of a model year, they might as well just cancel the Ranger in North America now. ?
I'd bet...
Huh? That has nothing to do with the total number of trucks they're planning to build for the model year. Just how many trucks they're planning to build in March, to give an idea of how fast they're going to knock out the stack of orders they're sitting on.
There was another post on here that I can't find now stating Ford's Ranger Production plans for March and it was like 3000 (3500?) Rangers and 700 Raptors a month.
Sounds pretty reasonable given that plant is split with Bronco production.
