How involved is the installation of the performance tune? Im not in a position to have it dealer installed and haven't ever done one of these myself. Just wondering if its going to be overly technical for my (lack of) skillset.
My bed rails didn’t sit flat towards the tailgate on first install either. Loosened the clamps and whacked it with a rubber mallet and they are totally flush now.
it sounds like your claps are different than mine. They don’t go through any holes in the bed on the cover I got last week.
the...
Husky also has several options. Was thinking of adding flares to mine, but I'm going pause and see whether I need the added protection, before pulling the trigger. I really like the OEM magnetic gray trim color and don't really want to take on the extra step of painting them (or paying for...
Anyone black out the lower bumper trim (metallic color on the fx4)? If so how did you do it? Feel like vinyl would be easy but will get beat to sh!t, but maybe someone who’s done it can confirm? Paint? Is there a replacement part available? Rest of the truck is pretty blacked out and this...
It’s on the very top of the clip and it is the MagSafe magnetic mount. Pretty much the same as yours but mine charges and is mounted higher. It’s on a non Raptor so maybe there’s some difference?
it was really hard to remove without scratching the plastic dashboard trim too. I think CarPlay...
Picked up my xlt on Friday and got busy this weekend.
BAK X4S installed
Vinyl emblem blackout - super hard to align these and they don’t cover the chrome surround. Good enough for now but probably going to buy the painted ones.
Vinyl tint on side markers
removed fx4 decals and going to...
I got the proclip MagSafe charger but I wouldn’t recommend it. It installs very securely but since the actual charger projects a bit, the phone is totally in the way of the wiper control. The charger itself is pretty well designed but the position is no good.
I just installed mine this weekend on my late 2024 xlt. It went on very easily and really no problems with alignment or clamps. Mine DOES have the same gap which I thought was just part of the design until I saw this thread. TBD whether it will leak or not.
a couple other things I noticed and...
Putting a 2.5” superlift level on a 2024 xlt w fx4. I’ve bought the 17x8.5” +35 method 703s but I’m still debating on the wildpeak 275 or 285s. I don’t want to adjust crash bars, trim or rub.
i know this is a popular setup and I’m looking for real experience from others. Did the 285s rub or...
I politely gave the dealer hell and tried everything to get anything on top of the employee discount (discounts, service, lift install, etc) and they gave nothing else. Dealer is a monopoly in a seasonal market (season is about to start) and they would have sold the vehicle either way, so maybe...
No drone on the Magnaflow? Does just replacing the filter (vs changing out the whole intake) really make a difference in sound? Don't doubt the AFE filter is better than OEM, but wouldn't expect it to have any real impact on sound, but maybe Im wrong.
FWIW, Putco told me that there is a cutout for access to the plugs. The panels have a weight rating for 250 lbs when using 4 or more tie down points (don't totally understand what that means). The front panel is attached at the top and has feet to support the bottom.
Interesting, but hard to pull the trigger without hearing one or having any real world recs. Maybe I'll give them a call to see if theyve even done one for the Ranger. Don't really want to guinea pig it.
I bought an XLT with sticker price $44,590 and the discount was $3,170. Out the door including taxes, license and fees $44,577, so basically it covered everything after sticker.
I was interested in some vehicles that the dealer had in manufacturing and since they weren't sure of the delivery...
Im also looking for these, particularly a set that includes the bulkhead panel, is highly corrosion resistant and doesn’t require drilling the bed. Bumping this thread for any suggestions.
putco offers a set for the 6g but they are expensive. Might have to bite the bullet on these because they...
