My father in law bought a 2025 ranger xlt with the fx4 package last friday or saturday. I got in to check it out yesterday and i was pushing buttons and stuff, to see what it had over my stx, and it doesn't have the button to change from normal to eco, sport, ice, tow, ruts, sand, crawl, etc. His little button only had the locker and auto stop on it. The rest of the button assembly was blank except one long button with a picture on it that does nothing but change the screen to maps and a view of the truck when in 4x4.
How does he change to the different modes on that truck? Do i need to get another button assembly and swap it out and go into forscan to activate those for him?
Its just weird thay my base model truck has the ability to change transmission modes and his higher trimmed xlt doesn't. Do any of you guys have a truck set up like his?
We put his hood defector and he has it scheduled to get a ford lift installed so he can keep his warranty snd get bigger tires. The dealer here told him they would deny any warranty claims if he did a lift or level somewhere else so he sent back what we had ordered and were going to put on tomorrow. I told him they would have to prove how a lift caused any issues but he said he didnt want to have to go to court for warranty work and just paid them to do the install.
