It's hard to know how different drivers compare, but that's way lower than I've been getting in the same truck. I live at 5,400 feet, and do a fair amount of driving up to 8-9,000 feet. My average is typically 23 mpg (according to the truck computer).
Stupid question - do you keep in 2H most of...
I agree completely. I was leaning toward a Tacoma TRD off Road with a premium package which would have been $53k. Even put a deposit down to get in the queue for one. While we waited for a Tacoma the Rangers started showing up on local lots and after testing one we changed our minds. We also...
From a reliability standpoint, it’s way too soon to tell. A few months without major problems does not make it reliable. Check again in 2-3 years, or take the plunge.
Very nice. I have the same trim Ranger and am finding it can do everything I want to do around here in Colorado and in Moab. At some point I might lift it and get bigger tires. But for now, it's great.
The white looks really good with the topper. What topper is that?
I use it now and it’s fine. It’s slower than a real compressor but ok by me, takes maybe 15-20 minutes to get all four tires from 20 to 30 psi. I’m just curious how it will work with the four way devices and if that will speed it up.
I use simple brass deflators and they’re fine. Let’s just say...
I went with a Truxedo Sentry CT hard roll up cover. First time I’ve installed a tonneau and it was pretty straightforward. Reasonably water resistant when I washed the truck. I like the canvas look of this cover. I will say that these things (almost all tonneaus, that is) seem overpriced for...
Cool. What’s the inflation time and pressures? I ask because I use a Dewalt 20v battery inflator and wonder how well it would work with the Moreflate four way tool.
What was your typical road trip milage in the LC and F150 Raptor? And what are you getting on the Ranger Raptor?
I'd been coveting a real 4x4 for a while, after driving a lightly modified Subaru Outback Touring XT for a few years. The subie was luxurious and pretty fast (not Raptor fast...
Anecdotal. Where there’s smoke there’s fire I guess. And again, I’m not “defending” the Taco (I bought a ranger) but I’d hate to see it have major problems.
Keep seeing videos in my YouTube feed claiming the Tacomas are not selling. Watched one and it didn’t any actual data. Based on inventory at my local Toyota dealers it seems the TRD Off Roads are selling and the SR5s are not.
I’ll be interested to see more comprehensive data on sales and...
I've been averaging 23 or so. I'd estimate miles are 40% suburban, 30% highway, 30% mountain (e.g., up and down big elevation changes). That's in a 4WD XLT but 98% of the time I'm in 2H.
I’m pretty damn happy with my XLT. I’ve towed a very small camp trailer a couple times and it’s been great. No complaints.
The Raptor seems cool but I wasn’t interested in the price or mpg.
Interesting. Anecdotes at this point but it's too new to have any substantial data on reliability. The Tundra situation is bad. They claim it's a QC issue with machining debris or something, but that doesn't make sense given it affects the Lexus too. So it certainly makes you wonder if that...
