I have a 2024 2.3 Ranger XLT FX4 4X4. Noticed when I press the manual shift button it shows which gear the transmission is in. If I press and hold it I can lock the transmission gear selection. Can someone give me an example of when this should be used and it's benefits. JRRANGER

Interesting point. I did not know that. The noise would only come after driving the truck 20 plus miles at freeway speeds. Seemed that what ever was causing the noise need to be heated up. Haven't heard anything yet. Thanks JRRANGER

Just got my truck back from the Ford dealership. I was able to point out the noise to the shop forman during a test drive. Turned out to be a bad front driveline and retainers. They replaced under warranty and got the trick back in 1 day. All is good again. JRRANGER

Your sound is the same sound mine was making prior to the dealership replacing the front hub. JRRANGER

At 10k. I've got a wierd sound (squek, almost sounds like a chirping bird) coming from the drivers side wheel. This is the 2nd time I've had problems with the front wheel hub. At 3k Ford (under warranty) replaced defective left front hub. Anyone having similar problems? JRRANGER

I've got the same exact truck. Did you just level or did you change the suspension/shocks? If so what did you put on? How's the ride on/off road? Affect mpg? I'm planning on doing the same. JRRANGER

Took my truck in last Friday and learned that the customer satisfaction recall for the j-brace is only if you purchase a Ford (tent or I'll call it a topper). They will not just install just the J- braces. JRRANGER

I've got a 2024 2.3 XLT FX4 4X4 with all the packages. If your not towing regularly I'd get the 2025 Ranger 2.3 with the revised turbos and direct injection . I have the older 2.3 but my truck runs flawlessly. Best truck I've ever owned. Not 1 compliant. JRRANGER

I had the same problem. Left front hud was bad. 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 4X4 at 3k miles. Dealer Replaced hub in 2days Fixed problem. JRRANGER
