"Operations people" is a general term for people who are directors of operations or build/maintain things (buildings/mechanical systems/cars...etc).
As a design engineer by degree, I'm telling you that the notion that there are failures, issues, or noticeably shortened life spans of engines...
I understand what is suggested. The idea that there is a repair market for anything that is a result of the described "issue" is laughable at best.
Even if one is convinced that there are "dry starts", it's uninformed speculation and completely impossible to say any issue is caused by it.
Again...
Theres no "dry start" after an oil change. Unless one is somehow forcibly pushing oil out of the engine and oil pump during an oil change, there's FAR more chance of "dry start" after a vehicle has sat for hours/overnight.
The entire premise of the priming after an oil change is foolery. Not to...
Huh!? This sounds like crazy internet BS. I'm not sure its accurate that this actually happens and even if it does, its insane to me to think one would do this. It's not extending the life of one's engine.
Yeah, I watched his videos and ruled out the roof. I want to reduce road noise to a minimum because I want to be able to take and make business calls while driving. I'm thinking the front floor and foot wells would help that a lot too.
Yeah, saw him do the roof and quickly rules that out as a DIY job. I'm thinking of tackling the floor and doors as I'm most concerned with road noise. I wonder if removing the seats and doing under the carpet will be a ROYAL pain?
What materials did you use?
It also could just be a faulty part that is not worth the effort. Let's be honest, the VAST majority of parts for any vehicle are manufactured by 3rd party and delivered to the production lines. A certain % of them will be faulty. If I was Ford, I'd do the same thing. Accept it as a freak issue...
I am curious as to how many current Ranger owners will be tempted to upgrade from a Ranger XL/XLT/Lariat to the upcoming Tremor.
Based on what I'm hearing, which so far is limited, I don't see a huge reason to other than the esthetics. If there is an affordable front LS option, that would make...
The dealer didn't make thousands. Including holdback, they are lucky to clear $3K and thats before SG&A costs. Most large volume dealers aren't making much per vehicle sold.
