I got my window sticker over the weekend with blend date 1/23, I was very excited until I see the "2.3l" engine listed. I ordered A 2.7l. Seems the sales manager made a mistake, it happens, He immediately put a new order in today with high priority (I didn't ask what number). They are a very good high volume dealer that I have bought 3 vehicles from and they are good people to deal with.
I did get the order confirmation letter not more than 5 mins. after the phone call, So I start the wait all over again I guess.
What excellent service, the dealer is surely earning the thousands they'll make off you. /sarcasm

Yeah he was very responsive and apologetic, just a mistake, we all make them.
I guess I'm more annoyed since the dealer I bought didn't follow my PDI instructions, and now I've been waiting a month on a second dealer to submit a warranty claim to Ford.

It wears on your goodwill. Hopefully this is the first and last issue you encounter 😉

Thanks I'm very much looking forward getting back into a Ranger, my last one was an 86" I crawled all over gods green earth in that thing.

Yes, As I stated earlier they put in a new order immediately on priority level-3, this one with the 2.7l engine, that was on Feb 12th. It was built and shipped to the dealer on April 1 and I should be getting a call from the dealer any day now. Getting a little excited.

The dealer didn't make thousands. Including holdback, they are lucky to clear $3K and thats before SG&A costs. Most large volume dealers aren't making much per vehicle sold.
