Ordered a 24 Ranger Lariat

Greetings and salutations! I ordered a 24 Lariat the other day (8 Nov). What is the process after I place the order with my dealer? I have the order sheet that I had to sign and it has a priority code 3 (which doesn’t mean a whole lot to me!). Do I now just wait for Ford to contact me or will everything go through my dealer? And how long does it typically take to hear what’s next in the process? Thanks in advance!

You should receive an email from Ford confirming receipt of the order a couple of days after your dealer submitted it to Ford.

Thanks! I made a few updates to my order and sent it back to my dealer this afternoon so hopefully they’ll submit it to Ford soon so that I can get the “monitor and wait” going!

Thanks for the info. Reading the different threads, it looks like it could be quite some time. I’m hopeful that now that the strike is over, they’ll actually be able to ramp up their production schedule and get some trucks out the door!

Sit back and relax, ordered mine Ranger Raptor June 26th and I have no idea when it will get built. This site is the best place I’ve seen to get information

When I ordered the Sales Manager told me I’d have my truck by September, he just didn’t say which September. I’m still trying to decide if I want the truck or not

When you are scheduled and assigned a vin number. So likely, not for a while.

Yeah…I feel ya! The sales manager at the dealership I ordered from told me about 45 days. Fortunately, I didn’t have unrealistic expectations as I’ve been trolling this site for a while. It just seems a bit silly that if they have roughly just under 4k orders sitting in the queue, they are still so backed up. Their production should be AT LEAST that many per month. I’m currently driving a 2008 F150 which runs great so I’ll just keep plugging along in it until the new Ranger finally shows up.
