I would rather have a GX550 as well, but it's not really apples to apples.
My '25 ST was $58K OTD with the only major package available (sun & sound).
To get to $70k you have to select just about every single box available in the configurator including a black painted roof for almost $5K. Not...
I'm obsessed with the SUV, this thing looks SEXY. I think the EREV concept is well matched for off-roading and longer trips.
Since Ford won't bring the Everest here, I guess I know what my next vehicle will be...
I have a '25 ST, and it's definitely faster than my RR. It has the same powertrain, but weighs a lot less. RR is more fun to drive IMO...it just has a certain character to it that the ST doesn't. Hard to describe. The ST is competent, but kind of flavorless, I guess.
Mods are similar and...
Unfortunately not, because I put on the bumper after the lift was done. I lost ~1 inch up front after the bumper was installed. Was thinking about adjusting the rear collars after, but rake and handling seems okay.
I have the Rival winch bumper and rocky road sliders, so a very similar situation weight-wise. I also have a RETRAX manual retractable tonneau cover in the back, however much weight that is.
I'm running 3" RPG perch collars up front and adjustables in the rear set at either 2-7/8" or 3.25" cant...
I took mine ('24 RR) in recently for identical symptoms, and it turned out to be a bad blower motor (apparently). Shop still has the truck, but I should get it back tomorrow.
Your situation sounds a little different though, given the snow/ice. That being said, mine was intermittent, it would...
As an update to this, the dealer called and let me know it was a bad blower motor...new part should be in by Wed.
I was prepared for a shitty ordeal since the issue was intermittent and of course the fan started blowing again on my way over to the dealer, but after providing them a couple...
Do you mainly do high speed stuff or rock/slow stuff?
I don't do much high speed, like...I'll sometimes get up to 40-55 over washboards on easy flat sections out in the desert, but I don't go looking for dry lakebeds to do 90+.
Just on 10 minute sections of washboard these shocks seem to get...
I won't say this is wrong, as I haven't yet done a deep dive, but the crowd over at FordRaptorForum seems to think 50k is the correct interval (dependent on usage habits, of course). There are shops (Texas Shock Works, et al) that cater specifically to this niche.
If you can find info put out...
SoCal market is pretty brutal...my condolences. They want $10K over, but no one actually pays that (I hope).
I believe I paid $4K over list in Escondido. Was not worth it in my opinion to jump thru extra hoops driving or flying out of state or calling 100 different dealers. Without getting into...
My 2 cents:
Handling is slightly compromised in normal driving mode, but negative effects are lessened in sport suspension...it firms things up a bit to reduce lean and dive.
re: the extra unsprung mass (from a stop): it's there, but negligible in my opinion. Seems you already picked your...
I live in California...don't really need to do anything at all, haha.
If I still lived up north I would sand it off and treat it with an anti-corrosive coating.
Edit: To your point, I doubt Ford would cover it
Had to take my other vehicle into work this morning because I couldn't defog my windows due to this issue.
Taking it in for service, this one pissed me off
