They're rubber clips for cable organizing - for running power to your phone/tablet/radio, etc.
They happen to fit the allen wrench, and I'm still tweaking where I want everything so I just leave it there for now.
Installed.
1 trim piece to pop off w/ included pry tool; a 1-for-1 swap with the new track piece. Reuses 2 factory screws from the original trim piece, and drills 2 small (1/8", I think; drill bit is included) holes to give it additional strength. Took about 5 minutes.
I wasn't familiar with...
Installed my Rocky Road sliders today. Same 6 bolts as factory running boards, and 6 additional drilled holes and bolts for a 'heavy-duty' install that can theoretically take the weight of the truck. Fitup was flawless. Removed the OEM running boards and installed these in about an hour. Very...
I kind of like the heavier steering tbh...coming from an Outback XT where I could steer with one finger, the raptor feels more naturally 'correct' in default mode.
Sport is a little too much though.
It's the area where the light bar is intended to go...presumably he got the "light bar ready" version.

It's been working out well
Solved the whistling by installing adhesive backed foam directly...
It's in millimeters, so ~25mm = 1 in.
He was citing the difference between stock +55 offset and +25.
+25 should be fine. +35 is slightly better if you can get it.
Lots of different factors at play...there's no perfect answer, but you want to try to keep as much positive offset as possible w/...
Billie Bars. They have low profile options for covers with and without T-slots.

My setup:
35 x 12.5 Toyo AT3 rubber on +35 Method 703s
The truck wanders just a liiiiitttttlllle bit more than previously, still not bad at all. Not sure if it matters to you, since it's not an apples to apples comparison due to 35s.
RE: your point about rotating/unsprung mass, I chose Methods...
Looks amazing.
Maybe I'll do this when the V6 dies (hopefully at high mileage)...but good lord, $89K OTD.
I'm assuming that's in Aussie dollars, though, so around $57K? Still a pretty penny, though.
Thank you! Will post updates as soon as the bumper comes in.
One thing I've noticed is a TON of whistling w/ the roof rack. I've already inserted t-channel rubber, and it won't go away. Hoping it's not due to the wire hider, etc, as that would be tough to fix in any meaningful way...
Crash...
What wheels / tires are you running? Gonna do a quick 'tism breakdown for my own sanity:
I went with Method 703s (26.81 lb/ea, per their website), which are apparently ~1.45 lbs lighter than the OEM non-beadlock wheels (28.26 lbs)
Stock 285 Load C KO3s are 56lbs / ea
My new tires are 35x12.5...
I'm about to order a set, and from what I can tell you can simply unclip an accessory from the assault, regardless of other accessories inboard/outboard of it, whereas on the slim you would have to slide those other accessories out of the way to remove something in the middle.
Hope that makes...
