Ok, Fabulous Manufacturing absolutely makes the best looking CAI on the planet; truly a work of art! I literally drooled over pictures of that intake while waiting on my RR. That being said, Iāve read at least a couple of threads discussing the heat soak and high IATās associated with aluminum...
Iāve used Eibach suspension products on a couple of vehicles that Iāve owned. Iāve always been impressed with the quality. This being a viable option to level the truck, without damaging the FOX active suspension, makes it very interesting. I canāt wait to see them hit the market!
P.S. -...
Youāre right, Iāve never heard of using that type of material to fabricate CAIās. Iām familiar with bonded aluminum panels with a polymer substrate, but youāre not going to be able to weld that material. Fabulous Fabricators produces one of the most popular aluminum CAIās for the RR, and they...
Just buy the tuner from Lethal Performance, save yourself a couple hundred bucks, and then use that money to pay the dealer for the installation. The tune is absolutely the best thing that you can do to a Ranger Raptor!
Tint the front windows, PPF for the hood and painted part of front end to minimize the rock damage, and add the Ford Procal Tuner. Trust me, that last one is a must and worth every single penny! ?
āI was feeling froggy and added a COBB intercooler, a TurboSmart BOV, a K&N air filter and some...
Once you add in the shipping charge, youāre easily over $1500, so it only costs 4X as much as it should!
I think Iāll wait around a couple of months for the S&B CAI.
One interesting note; when I was looking at parts / part numbers, I noticed that the part number for the turbos on the 3.0L is the same part number as the turbo on the 2.3L. Same size turbo as the standard Ranger, the Raptor just gets two of them. ?
The CAI is one of the last modifications that I want to do to my RR. Iāve looked at some of the oneās that are already on the market, but the aluminum / metal construction seemed to me to be a good source of radiated heat transfer, with the potential to totally eliminate the āCAā part of the...
I bought the Ford factory tuner from Lethal Performance during a sale they were having for $675 delivered, and paid my local dealership another $282 for the installation. Iām very pleased with the result. The added horsepower, and especially the added torque make this truck pull hard all the...
Really nice truck! ??
āThatās exactly what I was looking for a few months ago, but the build dates were way out, and I ended up finding a RR within a few hours drive, so I snapped that one up. I agree that the new truck seems much heavier, and not as nimble as my 2019 Lariat FX4 Sport. I have...
I donāt have a dog in this fight, so this is just an observation. Ranger/Hobb, you may very well be one of the most knowledgeable people on this board, and IF YOU DIDNāT COME ACROSS AS A TOTAL ASSHAT, people might actually enjoy reading your posts and gain an appreciation for that knowledge...
Thatās exactly what I did! The service writer at the dealership I normally use originally tried to send me to an aftermarket parts installer. I spoke to the service manager at that dealership, and he insisted that I was going to have to leave my RR with them all day, and that it might take 3-4...
The problem is that they are not familiar enough with out of state sales and the tax laws. I live in SC and have bought vehicles in Florida, North Carolina and Georgia (thatās where I bought my RR). Dealer relationships arenāt what they used to be (nothing is), and rather for better pricing...
Iām definitely going to install the intercooler before I even install the tune. Of course it helps that I have the intercooler and Iām still waiting on the tuner! ?
Picked up a couple of items in preparation for the Ford factory tuner installation.
iāve already installed the TurboSmart BOV, and the COBB intercooler just arrived today.
I hope to get it installed this weekend if the weather holds out. Speaking of weather, with the onset of fall and...
HEMSK has one that is 11āx13.5ā, but Iāve never dealt with that company.
Iād probably check with Built- Right, or pick one up from Grayman Tactical and cut it to fit.
