Thanks for sharing. Beautiful area.
We have been toying around with the idea of getting something like this or a small off road camper like a forte or similar. Before we do that we figured we would take the ranger out first on a couple of day trips exploring to see if the bug bite stays...
It would take a herculean effort to log a hundred thousand miles or so across the various roads and settings the truck was designed for or supports. Testing, triage, more testing, production design, more testing, rinse, repeat.
Pretty sure that is why they entered the pre-production raptors...
I'm not sure I would ask them as Ford recently laid the smack down with both the Mustang GTD and the Ford GT Mk IV at Nurburgring. GM has some work to do although the Corvett is cheaper...
Thanks both - appreciate it.
They all seem to be similar priced and offer protection which can't be bad. The comment above about being a bit soft for the knees was a good point. Looks like you can get the tailgate as well.
Thanks again - appreciate the feedback.
How do these compare to the one from Ford or the Michelin bed mat? I think the Michelin one has the vertical edge.
Also may be a dumb question but do these say in or removed after load/use? Not sure how they are with freeway driving and no weight. Also my truck came with Ford's spray...
This got me thinking - are there recommended skid plates that we should add to whatever it came with stock? Or add and replace OEM?
Never thought about it until I saw your post.
Cleaned up nicely. I have to say that is my only fear so far - love marks from sage brush.
Starting to make a list of day trips we can take to get some fresh air, have some lunch, and get some light hiking/walking in. I've seen a few driving the Pony Express between Nevada and California...
Significant others probably appreciate that we don't have to do that anymore :D
I usually have a state map or ones I'm traveling through if doing a road trip. Of course the last time I tried to use it I needed a magnifying glass :( Used the phone camera to help...
I tried to use the Sync voice command for navigation the other day and it said it was not available. 2026 Ranger Raptor.
Reached out the dealer, said it should be there. Reached out to Ford, they confirmed it is there by the Vin. Ford portal shows it is active for 1 year.
I'll be damned if...
I had a 2015 shadow black gt/pp and agree, the braking was never a concern. With regards to the Ranger Raptor I was surprised at how tiny the brakes look but figured I was just used to the Mustangs.
I know it will pop up at times saying to connect a device which I thought was odd because I added the phone. I use it for music and calls come across.
I will have to check again since maybe I am confusing standard bluetooth vs apple's care play and actual device connectivity.
Thanks - will...
Hopefully this is the correct subforum.
New 2026 Ranger Raptor. Is there something owners need to do in order to use voice navigation commands or via Sync? I tried using Sync voice commands to bring up navigation and Sync came back saying navigation is not available.
Checked with Ford via...
Interesting thoughts on the Ranger Raptor seats. This was also my concern - long term wear and tear.
They are comfortable. Very. In fact I feel they gave me better support than my Mustangs Recaro's. Not the same I know but I got tired in those during long trips. I can't see that happening...
Not promoting any dealer over another but Folsom Lake Ford also had some wild markups on all things Raptor. I sent an email and got more realistic pricing. Elk Grove Ford was also reasonable I have to say.
I should note that I have purchased from both dealers in the past - not sure if that...
I thought that this was an invite only event sent out by Ford after you purchased the Raptor. I came across the web portal but it wasn't clear to me how a Raptor owner would go about signing up.
New owner here so was curious but after not finding a lot of information just let it be.
