Before it gets more power, it needs more brakes. At least mine does.
Correct, that would probably mean the stock 17 in wheels will have to be bigger to fit bigger brakes

I'd be very interested if Ford did a hybrid like the the F-150's 3.5L PowerBoost with Pro Power Onboard – and the 7.2 kW (7,200 watts) upgrade in a Ranger. It would fit in my garage in FL and I could use the truck as power backup for my home.
Agreed. The 3.5t has been around for a hot minute with most of the issues worked out. It should have been in the Ranger Raptor.

Absolutely. I'm looking forward to throwing some racey pads on eventually or seeing if the aftermarket develops any different caliper bracket kits that can fit a larger rotor.

I hate the (lack of) braking in my RR it’s my only true complaint about the truck.
I have a tune and it gets up to speed quick but the brakes do not inspire confidence. I wish it had the 6 piston brembos my 2017 pp gt mustang had. 17 inch rims and big brakes? Not sure. For a 5400lbs truck tuned it is pretty quick off the line. Not many trucks are going to pull you.

I had a 2015 shadow black gt/pp and agree, the braking was never a concern. With regards to the Ranger Raptor I was surprised at how tiny the brakes look but figured I was just used to the Mustangs.
Well running beadlocks with 50 lb 33" never happened on any Mustang?
Other than lighter rims/tires or more street orientated tires...but it is a bad sss off road machine. That stops s l o w on pavement.

In the F-150 the 5.0 puts out 400 horsepower and 410 lb/ft of torque. With the procal tune, the Ranger Raptor 3.0 has 455 horsepower and 536 lb/ft of torque. So…..
True. It's truly impressive. I love mine!
But it still sounds like a riding lawnmower....

Add some very expensive batteries, inverters and lot of complexity and weight, is all I see and hear when the word Hybrid is brought up. LOL

Couldn't agree more. The reviews from Australia on their PHEV Ranger are not good.

to bad no one can make a hybrid like the early 2k honda accord. my ex-daughter inlaw had an 05 or 06 and that thing was still on the original battery 3 years ago when she traded it for a new accord hybrid
