What a quick, easy process. Ordered the mat from Realtrucks on Sunday afternoon. Shipping confirmation via email first thing Monday morning. Delivered via FedEx Wednesday morning.

Took the mat out of the box and it was a little stubborn to unroll--so I parked the truck in the sun and let the mat sit there and think about its choices for a bit. After about 20 minutes, it laid down nice and flat and easy.

Installation was a cinch. Watched the video. Cleaned the spots where the hook and loop strips would go, then used the provided adhesion promoter sponges. Fits the bed and the tailgate perfectly. Provides just a bit of cushion to protect the bed. So far, I'm thrilled with the product, and with the ordering experience.

Now, to go get rid of those dirty footprints...

My Comfort Bed and Tailgate mat also showed up today, although I didn’t install it yet. I ordered two weeks ago and late last week I got an email saying my order was 3-4 weeks out. I contacted customer service and they refunded me $20 for my troubles, bringing the total price down to $150 before tax. I got my shipping notification a day or two later. RealTruck has excellent customer service!

I can't find much about this mat. It looks like foam. I wonder how it would hold up under every day use where we're putting stuff in and out of the bed every day. I realize they offer a lifetime warranty, but also state "abnormal wear and tear" is not covered. What constitutes "abnormal wear and tear"?

"and let the mat sit there and think about its choices for a bit" awesome.

I got the same Impact mat and I really like it. It is foam, but the upward facing side of the foam has a more durable layer on it. Too early to prove out, but I think it should hold up pretty well. The protection for the bed is nice and it also protects things that are in my bed (surfboards for example) and its super easy on the knees when crawling around. On one hand its nice that the bed is now smooth so I can slide things in and out, but on the other hand, thing slide around in the bed more. I was a little wary of the hook/loop attachment system, but its more solid than I expected.

Before install, make sure the cutouts on the side are aligned with the tailgate latches. I probably need to shift mine about 0.5" and reapply the 3m tape.

I went with the bedrug clone from Husky. Same price and I've used bedrug before in several trucks.

Its actually the exact same product, just rebranded. I confirmed.
Yep, I discovered that right after I posted. Thanks.

How do these compare to the one from Ford or the Michelin bed mat? I think the Michelin one has the vertical edge.

Also may be a dumb question but do these say in or removed after load/use? Not sure how they are with freeway driving and no weight. Also my truck came with Ford's spray protection so wasn't sure if there is a corrosion concern with it staying in year round.

I can't speak to some of your questions, but they attach via long hook and loop strips and I've gone down the interstate at 90 (er.. I mean... 75, max...) and it hasn't gone anywhere so far.

I opted for this instead of the Michelin because I didn't like the dividing strips on the Michelin mat. Plus I think this has a little more impact protection.

I had one very similar to the Michelin (perhaps just a rebranded version) before the Bedrug. The edges in the Michelin are good and bad. They contain things but that just makes it harder to get them out when you want to clean it up. That also means that they contain water and it doesn’t drain out. The Michelin is good for protecting your bed from scratches, but the Bedrug protects the contents better (since it’s padded) and is more comfortable on your knees.

they both stay in the truck just fine.

Thanks both - appreciate it.

They all seem to be similar priced and offer protection which can't be bad. The comment above about being a bit soft for the knees was a good point. Looks like you can get the tailgate as well.

Thanks again - appreciate the feedback.
