I removed my door panels in the front and the loud vibration/rattling was coming from the aluminum window track. The solution was to glue a piece of foam behind it and problem solved.
I'm looking to do something similar but I'm afraid this is going to open open a big can of worms and require lots of other mods. With the stock speakers I have massive vibrations with the stock bass radiating from the door panels, arm rest etc. Did you add any sound deadening material on this...
I have some extra if you still need a few. They look the same as what I have on my Ranger Raptor. I ordered a J-brace kit and it came with a bunch of extras. I guess they assume many people break them when removing the fenders. They are all plastic.
So I guess I should replace those braces with these so the tie downs are left alone: https://accessories.ford.com/ranger-raptor-2024-load-box-reinforcement-kit-vn1wz2627726b
I have confirmed they are now loose on top. Attached is a photo when they were installed I just found. It appears the current braces sold by Ford for the Raptor do not use tie down points as shown in this video, am I correct?
I had these braces installed as well with an EGR bedcover. Later I installed molle panels in the bed and had to remove the front tie down bolts to secure them. When I did this nuts fell to the ground I was not expecting to be there. I’m assuming now the braces are NOT even secure after learning...
This is the most promising set I’ve seen so far. I was looking at the set from Rocky Road which is tucked up higher but mounted to the body. They have a paragraph on the product page that explains how the strength is much higher than you would think and their metal is far thicker/stronger...
I live in CA and bought our RR in IL and they shipped it for $800. I paid for the vehicle plus IL tax and they overnighted me the title. When I went to the DMV here in CA, being an out of state vehicle they made me pay additional tax, go get it smogged and had to take it to a scale to get it...
Thanks for the post, I just installed a third brake light by Bullet Proof Diesel and I have the antenna cable and wiring sitting in the back seat now. Can you share a photo of the grommets under the rear seats? I can’t seem to find them. Thanks!
I’m trying to lower mine and the attachment point when you put the t-end rod in is so far left it’s impossible to get it in there at that angle. Do you have to remove the bumper trim? I’ve tried several times, it’s way too far left through that access hole.
Yes, on page 3 there are a few options for extension kits, I got one that was 25ft long and I had to cut maybe 7 feet off, it was still too long. Length depends on your route though.
