After today my truck will have about 950 miles on it. Going to change it to some Pennzoil Ult Plat then change again at 2500, then again at 4000. Then every 4000 miles thereafter going forward. I want to keep this truck for a long time. Early oil changes from it's creation is a good idea IMO...
I'm curious why you would want to spend $450 on something that isn't going to make much difference.. I mean it's your money. The truck already comes with a legitimate cold air intake from the factory. Even has a conical style filter. I don't see the benefit of this unless you were going to...
my 2025 2.3 is going to be just over 900 miles and going to change oil later this week. to me just by looking, it looks most accessible by getting a small foot stool and leaning over by reaching your hand/arm down and breaking it lose there. may as well take it off that way too. i may go...
update for this morning driving to work: first 40 mile drive with the headrest turned around facing backwards and i felt like that helped the strain on my neck/traps area. legs/back and all that seem ok and felt comfortable the whole time. maybe turning the headrest around was the secret sauce.
Had my share of black vehicles. My last was a 22 Camaro which was black. I told myself I would not get another black car again. Had 2 blue Challengers so had to go back to Velocity Blue on my Ranger. It reminds me of my 09 B5 Blue Challenger R/T. Beautiful blue esp when in direct sunlight.
I'm skinny/lanky and about 6'3. I've got the seat all the way back. Seat height I'd say is about 12 pumps up from the floor. I find that after about 25-30 mins, I start getting uncomfortable in the neck/traps area. Almost like my head is being pushed forward a little. I don't have any issues...
Truck only has 400 miles on it and calculated the first trip. 330 miles. Computer was reading 25.3. Manual calculation was 24.8. Truck isn't even broken in and had some idling time during this trip too. This will easily see 26 mpg like it claims on the window sticker. Pretty good.
What I find interesting is, even the "base" Lariat has the matte black fender arches for 2025. I'm pretty sure those were body colored for 2024 as well but maybe I'm wrong.
Anyone else with 2025 models, particularly the XLT trim, that have flat black/matte black fender arches? Not a big deal but probably would have preferred the painted carbonized gray.
Worked my ass off this afternoon using a strip wash on it, spraying it down with prep spray. Then ceramic coating it. Started at 3 and finished around 7 this evening. Cleanest truck in town.
Picked up my 2025 XLT last Friday. 200 miles on it.. Mine does the same exact thing as yours. I think mine defaults to 7 volume on each start up. I turn it down to 2 or 3 then shut off and turn back on and truck remembers it for a cycle but on the next time it goes back to 7.
I've done the...
The velocity blue on this Ranger is absolutely beautiful. Course it was sunny out today so it made for the perfect pickup day. The only other truck I've owned was a 98 S10 pickup back when I was 16. I'm 36 now and just came from a 22 Camaro LT1 V8 manual so quite the night and day difference...
Same kind of misinformation regarding the oil capacity as well. The online manual for the 2025 2.3 a couple months ago also called for 5.6 of oil. I checked online today just for grins and it's now saying 6 qts just like the 24 which makes more sense.
