So yea Ford messed up. Almost screwed me. Lucky i had another vehicle to go grab the correct one after having the parts shop bring out a filter for the 24 Ecoboost Mustang and see the threaded hole is larger than the 910S. So yea get the FL2127 or an equivalent not the FL910S or equivalent like Ford says. Luckily I’m on our $11 for the filter that didn’t fit.

I went with the Fram ultra synthetic filter. I’m not impressed with the OEM filter.

i was gonna run Fram but seeing as the manual had the wrong filter i was in a bind and grabbed the Mcgard brand from Oreillys but its a decent filter. I got the 10k one and i change at 5k so it will work for now.

Interesting,my ā€˜25 has just under 200 miles on it< so i just checked it.
The current filter is a Fomoco 6714,which translates to a FL 500S.

That’s for the 5.0s. Maybe it’s the correct thread but it’s definitely not what ford says the Ecoboost Mustang should run. I think you may have looked at the wrong Mustang.

Same kind of misinformation regarding the oil capacity as well. The online manual for the 2025 2.3 a couple months ago also called for 5.6 of oil. I checked online today just for grins and it's now saying 6 qts just like the 24 which makes more sense.

No sir,I am looking directly at the current filter installed from the factory that is ON my truck right now.
Why would I look up a filter for a Mustang when there is one on my truck I can use as a correct reference.
As an aside,it doesn’t matter that a filter can be used on a 5.0.Many things cross over to many different applications.

lol. Sorry you don’t read well. But honestly you do what you want. The FL500s is the one ford recommends for the 5.0 engine in the Mustang and F150s.
