I had to completely disassemble the components of the emblem. I painted all of the chrome gloss black and left the blue oval background as is. I was going to paint the blue oval background flat black but I liked the way it looked with just the chrome blacked out and the blue oval background.

It looks like in your picture the front Ford Emblem is chrome along with the side emblems. Where is the Black?

I would doubt it as mentioned above sensors would be needed along with other hardware and programing. If you could it would probably cost you a fortune especially if the dealer needed to get involved with the upgrade.

I don't care where it is located I would just be happy getting it to work! I doubt it could be done without a lot of work. The back of the seat would have to be modified along with the back of the cab where the striker is located.

I used 3 ebay LED's. Drilled the grille in 3 locations and installed. I didn't want anything too bright. I purchased a package of 20 of these LED's and had them already in stock from a previous install on a Jeep Renegade grille.
