I had to completely disassemble the components of the emblem. I painted all of the chrome gloss black and left the blue oval background as is. I was going to paint the blue oval background flat black but I liked the way it looked with just the chrome blacked out and the blue oval background.
I would doubt it as mentioned above sensors would be needed along with other hardware and programing. If you could it would probably cost you a fortune especially if the dealer needed to get involved with the upgrade.
I'm in the process of installing some POD LED lights in the grille and looking for a place to put the switch for them inside the cab. I might try to come up with some kind of cover to fit over that space to mount the switch on and put the switch there. Looks like there is plenty of room in...
Has anyone installed any type of garage door Homelink into their XLT? When I had my Maverick I installed a Kia rear view mirror that had compass and Homelink built into it and wired power to it from the overhead console by the dome lamps. I'm looking to do something like this with my Ranger. I...
No bracket. I drilled the hole slightly smaller than the circumference of the LED light and then filed the hole little by little until the LED fit to a snug interference fit. I didn't use the rubber seal part around the LED.
"Blacked out," meaning made them black by painting them, replacing them, or adding. I removed all of the emblems on the truck, front and rear Ford Emblems, and side XLT emblems and painted them black to cover the chrome. The empty tailgate Ranger imprint I filled with matte black tailgate...
Battery Tender Charge Cord Install
During the summer my Ranger will not get used as much as I store my Corvette and GR Supra for the winter and will be putting them back on the road for the summer. So I will keep my Ranger on a battery tender most of the time. But when I need to use it once in...
My DIY Blackout Project So I did away with all of the chrome on my 2024 Ranger XLT.
My project involved:
Blacking out the chrome on the front and rear Ford Blue Oval Emblems. I was going to black out the background of the emblems with flat black but I liked the way it looked with the blue...
I don't care where it is located I would just be happy getting it to work! I doubt it could be done without a lot of work. The back of the seat would have to be modified along with the back of the cab where the striker is located.
The guage is calibrated to go from 0 -100 psi. Just like your fuel guage is calibrated to go from E-F. The 0 figure and 100 figure are fixed. When the vehicle is operating, your guage shows where your pressure is at on the scale between 0 and 100 psi.
Self discipline and a determination to keep it looking good is the only thing I know of to keep the scuff marks off. After owning several new Corvettes and nice vehicles my wife and I have learned to really take notice getting in and out of the vehicle to make sure we take our time and not kick...
My next project is removing this ugly silver front valance and wrapping it or painting it in black. I would have already done this but in my heated garage I have two cars in storage that I don't want to take the chance of getting overspray on them and I don't want to move them outside now. I...
I used 3 ebay LED's. Drilled the grille in 3 locations and installed. I didn't want anything too bright. I purchased a package of 20 of these LED's and had them already in stock from a previous install on a Jeep Renegade grille.
Thanks for the info. I will check out the videos. I know it will be a project and I can just spend $350 and buy them already done. But I like car projects like this. It keeps a 69 year old retired guy busy and out of trouble! lol
I want to remove the front and rear Ford blue oval emblems to modify them in black. Has anyone removed the emblems on the new Ranger? Does front grille have to be removed to remove the front emblem? What's involved in removing the tailgate emblem? Any pics, videos, or tutorials on removing...
