I removed both of those seatbelt tether brackets to see if they were getting in the way but it didn't make any difference. Now that I see here the fix for the issue the dealer will perform I'll bring it to them and have them replace the latch.
You are absolutely correct, I shouldn't have to do anything special like I mentioned to get the seat to latch because of a faulty part or poor design. What was done under warranty for yours to work properly? Any new parts, latch, striker, etc.? Do you happen to have a copy of the repair order...

What ever happened to the people wanting the smaller truck? I traded my Lightning in for the Ranger because I realized I wanted a smaller truck after owning the Lightning for a year. So that situation wouldn't apply to me and I'm sure many others.

You can pop the letters off and sand then down, prime, and paint them black. That's what I am planning on doing soon. They are just secured on with two sided tape.
There was never a question in my mind about getting the 4x4. My question was about the 2.3 vs the 2.7. I would never purchase a truck in upstate New York without 4x4.
