I'm having a hard time understanding the issue here. Now I've never installed a tonneau cover so... If the rails have a lip that sit flush on the caps what difference does the thinkness makes? The tonneau should be flush. This assumes the clamps are not an issue but how would that be an issue...

Perhaps, just a guess but in another post I showed that now the instructions show the use of shims. Previous owners shared that their instructions did not contain reference to the use of these shims. Maybe these shims make up for the new rail design?

Well I just noticed that it shipped. The PDF off of web site is one thing. But if missing I'll contact them as they replied that they are used.

I posted pic of shims install above provided to me by Leer.

After ordering I went to site and grab the installation PDF. Lower right there is a note for Ford Ranger shims.

For those who have installed the HF650M, I noticed in the detailed PDF instructions they mention Ford Ranger Shims. Wondering how and where these go?

They force mine requires hood struts would not work. That went through my mind as they are on my list.

Just got my Ranger XLT and noticed that in order to close the hood I have to drop it from oh... 2 feet for it latch. A site search did have a reference to tightening the rubber bump stops that turning 3.25 times to adjust. Wondering if others did or is that's how they close?
