I really want this for my truck, I seem to still have trouble judging where the front bumper is. Did you have to disassemble that much of the dash just to get at the camera wires?
Thanks
Haha we have a lot in common, the silver valance was the 1st thing I did. Black vinyl wrap, had the local wrap guy do it for $150 including materials. I didn’t have to take it off.
where in NY? I went to high school in lower Manhattan.
I think so, and that req removal of the bumper cover. PUTCO has a video on their website for adding the lighted grill emblems. The video shows the process on an Explorer, but I believe it is similar.
Looks really sharp!
i blacked out my lower valance with vinyl wrap. I did the F150 led’s also but I didn’t want to drill the holes so I dropped it down a row and used 3m trim tape.
I bought these from Home Depot, 2 big ones one the bottom, they each hold 2 smaller ones. The lids are polycarbonate so they are pretty strong. I could easily take them out and set them in the garage or backseat. They sit just below the cover when it’s closed.
I went round and round trying to get my bed lights to turn on/off with the key fob or opening a door. Got close but couldn’t actually get it to work. I moved on and powered them by running power to the battery with a wireless switch to control it.

The RANGER with a good bedcover is basically the perfect vehicle for me, my stuff in the back stays basically dry. (I still have to do the tailgate seals and the bed rails.) But I live in a 50 year old house with a lot of landscaping. I also wood work as a hobby.
At this point being retired, I...
Just seems there are always times when you need a pickup. I went to Home Depot one evening. They had some clearance bags of mulch. I grabbed 10 and helped another guy load his 10 on a cart. I got mine loaded in the truck and watched him stuff 6 bags in the trunk of his sedan. He put the other 4...
I got them installed this week, did not take any progress pics but there is a complete write up with pictures on the process.
Couple things that are helpful. All the white clips except 1 on each side can be accessed from the backside with an 8mm socket to compress the wings of the clips.

Couple more hours today and I am done!!! I broke the clip retainer on the wheel molding, my kid is a master body tech and he says they epoxy them all the time so one day this week I’ll stop by after work and get that done.
As far as the steps themselves, I am about 95% pleased with them. They...
Lots of progress today! I figure I am about 80% done after about 5.5 hours. Unfortunately I was getting ready to put the last bolt in and one of the metal clips I moved from the factory piece to the aftermarket piece broke. I have to pull the plastic trim back off and replace the clip. I have to...
