  1. Black out side XLT badges.

Any suggestions on how to black out the chrome “XLT”? Seems pretty small for vinyl wrap, I was thinking about plasti-dip. Any pictures? Or other suggestions? I have seen the all black ones on the FORD website but have the F150-LEDS lights in there that I want to keep.
  2. Tired of the athleticism it takes to get into the truck bed.

I looked at the 2 step version of that one. I am having trouble finding the specs on the closed dimensions. It looks like it is about 5“ deep by 21.5 wide. I can’t find out how tall it is when closed though. I need it to fit under the cover.
  3. Any way to have bed lights automatically turn on when I open the tailgate?

My lighting project is custom built not a kit. The lights are 12” Kingpin lights. I bought a couple switch kits from Amazon to determine what I needed. One switch is not waterproof. I went with that because it is programmable. You can set it to be on/off or on/ off after a set time. (Couple...
  4. Blackout Ford badges installed

Those are nice!! Headed to their website now, thanks!
  5. Disabling auto start stop.

So you have to push a button to stay in SPORT mode. Seems about the same as pushing a button to turn off auto start/stop. Why I went with 4D Tech override.
  6. Disabling auto start stop.

There is a spreadsheet of what has been done on Forescan on this site, (really out of my depth on that) Auto start/stop is in red which I think means it can’t be changed?
  7. Disabling auto start stop.

One last thing, you can sign up to be notified when they are available. I bought my truck last week of July and they were out of stock. 3 weeks later I installed it.
  8. Disabling auto start stop.

I ordered on 8-8-24, and it was delivered on 8-12. First thing I did to my truck after purchasing it.
  9. Disabling auto start stop.

They seem to re-stock them pretty quickly. I remember mine was OOS when I first looked and got it a couple days later. Send them an email, they were pretty good with communication.
  10. Disabling auto start stop.

Yes, but doesn’t SPORT mode do the same? Doesn’t it shut off when you turn the truck off?
  11. Hit my first deer ever, need part numbers if possible

Thanks, I had mine wrapped in matte black. Always wondered why it wasn’t an option. I don’t have to wonder anymore.
  12. Disabling auto start stop.

So don’t you have to switch to Sport mode every time you start it? Kinda like switching the auto start stop every time?
  13. Hit my first deer ever, need part numbers if possible

Awesome to have these resources. Is the lower valance available in black like for an XL model? Are they otherwise the same if you don’t have sensors?
  14. Bed Lights Teaser

I don’t have those switches on my XLT. I REALLY wanted to tie them into the circuit with the cargo lights. Best I could ever do was get the lights working but really dimly. I wanted to be able to control them without going into the truck. Otherwise I could have tied into the bed lights already...
  15. Tired of the athleticism it takes to get into the truck bed.

I just got a new one, I was looking for one the fit under the cover when folded. My old one was 1.5” too tall. My new one is about 1.5” under. They are both 17” when opened.
  16. Touchscreen Blemish

I was cleaning the interior yesterday and getting ready to install the screen protector I ordered. Looks like I am a day late and a dollar short on this. I thought I had a piece of dust but it turns out it is a small mark about the size of a grain of fine salt. I can feel it with my nail. I...
  17. Any way to have bed lights automatically turn on when I open the tailgate?

I ran my new bed lights with power from the battery. There is a programmable switch up near the battery and I have a remote on my keychain and one just inside my tailgate. They can be programmed to turn on/off or on up to 99 minutes..
  18. Bed Lights Teaser

Just a tease, I plan on writing up a “how-to” in the next couple days with more pics and parts needed to do the job. These lights are 12” Kingpin. They are controlled by a wireless remote that can be programmed to shut off after a set time or just on/off. 5 lights are about 30watts total.
