I believe VIN is assigned just prior to actual production. You can track progress once you have a VIN - especially if itās a customer order.
Iād stick with your 8 week expectation & that way you might be pleasantly surprised.

If itās practical - consider going to the dealer and compare yours to one sitting on the lot. If a new one has the hose and yours doesnāt, then your problem is solved & the dealer should just order the hose.

Donāt feel dumb! I test fit my chains this spring so I didnāt have to learn mid-winter, on the road side, in the dark, with snow/sleet/freezing rain coming down.
Stuff like this is unfortunate, but it does happen. Glad the dealer took ownership of the problem and is planning to fix it. Not all owners are as fortunate with service depts.
I think design and quality is good, but Iām of the opinion that āless is moreā. On some trucks it looks better than others. Glad mine came without them.

Just about to pass 8K miles on my 2024RR. Zero problems, enjoy driving it daily, enjoy looking at it & doing truck stuff with it.
if it were me - Iād keep until you break it, get near 3y/36k miles or find something you like better - whichever comes first.
